The annual state visit of Obscurium to Duckionary was held from 24 - 31 July 2024 in the Archduchy of Duckionary by President Zar Antonov. The program of the week-long top Level intermicronational visit was filled with expeditions, outings and a plethora of other events (partly) related to micronationalism.
On the 26 July 2024 the traditional Duckionary summer party was held in the archducal garden which is normally not open for the public. 22 people took part in the event which was under the motto "Mexico, South America and Ernst Thälmann Island". In the days before the celebration, light installations where built up with an Austrian light artist. the guests enjoyed Corona beer, the first Duckonian cable car as well as interesting talks until the early morning hours.
On the following day, the Red Trident of Obscurity and the Royal Navy of Duckionary embarked to a joint naval mission on the Bavarian river Rott. Later that day, state portraits were taken of the two world leaders by the Duckonian Court Photographer in an antiques shop in Upper Austria. After a bit of a rest and a small hiking in around the river Inn and the visit of cultural sights like the castle of Neuburg am Inn and the Kubin museum in Wernstein near Passau, another diplomatic trip took place on the 29 July 2024 to the Austrian city of Wels. On that day the two rulers met up with Head of State Maximilian Engl and Vice Chancellor Franko Mayr of the Republic of Waronia, an ally of Obscurium and Duckionary and a faithfull participating nation of the first three Micro Euro Summits. There, President Antonov and Archduke Arthur were treated to a tour of Wels which included all notable sights of the city. While a joint meal in a typical Austrian beer garden, all three nations signed a treaty of cooperation, friendship and non-aggression.
In the early morning of the 30 July 2024, Zar Antonov and Arthur de Tourneau travelled to the metropole of Vienna to pay a visit to the United Nations Headquarters officialy known as the Vienna International Center. The two gained insights into top secret offices of various UN organisations. The applications for membership have been sent in but an answer is still pending.
After leaving international grounds and returning to Austria they crossed the border to the artwork Republic of Kugelmugel located next to the Prater in Vienna. There, the two leaders got a tour by President Linda Treiber and had the chance to visit the spherical Republic, which was only reopened in June 2024. In the presidential office of Kugelmugel, they exchanged gifts, got a pass and talked about their ideas and iniatives with their respective endeavours.
To conclude, the week was filled by activities strengthening the relations between Obscurium and Duckionary as well as with Waronia and Kugelmugel and steps forwards for an ever better future of micronationalism and culture.
