On 01 March 2025, the micronation ‘Kingdom of Arkaland’ on the Greek island of Crete became the first protectorate of Duckionary.

The Kingdom of Arkaland is a micronation that was founded on 26 January 2023 in Rethymno, Crete, Greece. It is a constitutional monarchy founded by King George I. The capital is Petrarchontiko. Arkaland recognises Greek and English as official languages and maintains diplomatic relations with several micronations. The Græcian Stater has been the official currency since 06 May 2023. The population was estimated at 39 people in 2024.

As a protectorate of Duckionary, the Kingdom of Arkaland is subject to a special constitutional order. It is headed by the Protector, who is the Archduke of Duckionary. He has overall control of Arkaland and appoints a High Commissioner who represents him locally and acts as an advisor to the King of Arkaland. The King of Arkaland is the head of state and is advised by two main bodies: The High Commissioner and the Senate of the Kingdom of Arkaland, which is appointed by the King himself. The King also appoints a Viceroy, who acts as his direct deputy. Political decisions are made in accordance with the Protectorate Treaty, with Arkaland's foreign policy being represented by Duckionary. The Senate is made up of citizens and honourable citizens of Arkaland who are appointed as senators by the King. It functions as both a royal cabinet and a consultative assembly. Senators can be responsible for certain political areas such as internal security, similar to ministers. The citizens of Arkaland also enjoy full diplomatic and consular protection through the diplomatic missions of Duckionary.
